How Household Tap Sampling Works
Our laboratory technician performs the site visit, identifies every cold water point of use, and collects at the points the household confirms are relevant, most commonly the kitchen and the bathroom, which in many buildings sit on different branches.
A stagnation period is requested from the client where the parameter calls for it, and the elapsed time is logged at collection. Samples are handled under documented chain of custody with holding times observed.
Panels commonly begin with lead and copper and extend to bacteriological indicators, PFAS, chemical parameters or a full potability panel where the property and the reason for testing support it.
Understanding Your Report
Each parameter is reported with the laboratory result and reporting limit, with the sampled location clearly identified.
Parameters not detected above the reporting limit are listed explicitly, and each value is set against its applicable published reference with the category of that reference identified.
The report is prepared so it can be taken directly to a treatment supplier, a plumber, a landlord or a physician.
